Did I say shaping up into a good month?
My 100th bewildering bit of writing in Bewildering Stories is up TODAY!: and Don Webb poses the interesting question: In Oonah V. Joslin’s “And She Shall Have Music,” does the poem lament the evolution of music or of its media or both? I would love to hear your thoughts on that!
(It looks like 75 on MY BIBLIOGRAPHY where you can get to all of them 🙂 but some of those links cover series’ such as my Novella A GENIE IN A JAM and Armchair Observatory so it’s 75 over 100 Issues!)
I am Longlisted for the Erbacce Prize. Now I know how this works. I was longlisted a few years ago but it’s rather nice nonetheless to be in the top 40 out of over 5000 entires world-wide and to see the names of other poets I know there because as my mother used to say: It’s never lost — what a friend gets.
My Name, My Name, is at Birch Press for their themed poems month. It kind of goes with “With a Name Like That You Should Be a Writer” published in Left Hand Waving a few years back. That one is a HOOT but it’s also TRUE.
3 Quantum Poems in Ofi Press Issue 42 just now. There’s lots of good things there in fact so do browse! This is my 1st appearance at Ofi (I hope) and I am so pleased it’s a trilogy because I had another trilogy Poems on Poverty accepted at The Stare’s Nest. I don’t usually write with politics in mind but this… Let’s just say politics shapes people. That will be live on 29th June.
A slightly longer flash has been accepted for the Summer Issue of Fine Linen. It is called Caste Diva. You will know that piece of music I am sure! Not my usual style of piece but I was glad Kath and Dave liked it. Fine Linen comprises not only fine writing but is beautifully produced and unusual. Buy one and see what I mean!
I still have other work to come out yet — maybe there will be more June UPDATES!
I have all the poems for Summer’s Linnet’s Wings sorted and I am reading for Autumn. And of course The Linnet’s Wings Spring 2015 is still available. Oh go on! Buy one! Great pressies.
