Last Goodbye is not a very merry poem I am afraid. But I was pleased to be in a new place at Silver Birch Press and I was in good company with friends James Graham and Barry Charman and it’s been a great series: ‘Me as a Child’ Glad to be part of that.
Glad too to be part of the community at PP&P with Western Town — a happy collaboration writing to the superb artwork of Walter Jack Savage. There’s more where that came from. Thanks Dave Morehouse for inviting me to write some ekphrastics. I do love to write about art — not being an artist myself…
and of course I like photography in my small way… and PP&P is going to publish a poem about one of my favourite places; Belsay Quarry Garden, using one of my own photos of the place. I can hardly wait to see which one! It won’t be these ‘cos I didn’t send them.
I have a poem coming up in Bewlidering Stories on Monday. That will be my 97th piece there 🙂 I am on the count!!! Noel will use any excuse for champagne 🙂 and one must celebrate the little things in life 😉 and I had two accepted at Gyroscope Review and there should be three coming up at Ofi Press, one in a Seamus Heaney Anthology, one later in the year at Zoomorphic and I have a few others out there in the lanes — waiting to be be pilotted in. In the meantime remember THE SEA Do buy a copy. 100% of the money goes to the RNLI! This is a book that can help save lives and it’s lovely!
There’s a great bunch of poems lined up for Summer at The Linnet’s Wings and I have my eye on a few for Autumn too. Thanks to all of you who have sent poems. Keep them coming!
And of course The Linnet’s Wings Spring 2015 is still available. Oh go on! Buy one! Great pressies.
