The fortnight with my sister here flew by. It always does. We do so much and there is so much to do. We went to CATS in Newcastle, shopping at Heighley Gate, Afternoon Tea at Gareth James’ Chocolatiers in Morpeth (superb!) (maybe even illegal!!) and we visited haunts old and new (new to her at least) but I never tire of them. I’ll put some more details up on some of these in future posts but for now — I’m whopped! BUT It was fun but I am an over 60 now after all 😉 and I have had a very busy year thus far.
Changes to work — Still waiting for the Anthology 3 Proofs from Vancouver as my last Editorial job for EDPublishing but I am moving to The Linnet’s Wings for Autumn. I look forward to both.
Changes to home — a few bits still to do but a house always needs redecorating/ reorganising/ modernising etc etc — not to mention cleaning! (I said NOT to mention cleaning!!! 😦 )
Changes to me — bye bye gall bladder and hello diet. Yoyo is a nono I know but that’s what I tend to do. I reckon if Esme can then so can I but then she is the disciplined one. She gave me a delicious low fat recipe Chorrizo, Chicken and Roast vegetables, while she was here. I’ll pass that along on my other blog at some stage.
It’s going to continue to be a busy year. There’s a wedding in Scotland, potential visitors in September and we may go to Wales… In the meantime I am trying to write. Catch my Coffee Stories My Bag and Seaside Latte. Also free downloads from Ether Babes and Sucklings and Transition Pieces which got longlisted for Twisted Tales ’14 🙂 🙂 🙂 and don’t forget to buy or download Twisted Tales 13
Now, here are just a few of the photos from the past two weeks’ shinnannigans. Such a privilege to live in such a beautiful area. If only we can prevent the government from FRACKING it to hell!
