The INTREPID itself is as big as three football pitches and bristling with aircraft and spacecraft. Survivor of 2 kamase attacks in 1944, this incredible vessel deserves a day of anyone’s time.
These days it is home to a concord, the Space Shuttle Enterprise, and some very hairy looking space rides that I declined to try, one of which turns it’s occupants upside down. Oooo-errr! Yes folks that’s a little port for the Consellation Urine 🙂
Also it’s home to a piece of the Twin Towers.
This is a superb place to visit. We spent 5 hours. We visited all except the submarine My one monor complaint was that there really weren’t enough places to sit and rest a while in this huge museum complex.
Facilities include rest rooms, gift shops and a cafe — of which more on my Food for Thought for Friday Google Blog. If you go to New York and even if you don’t think you are fond of aircraft etc, I promise you, this place will impress you.
